Brad Pitt (center) on the Hill with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC).

...lookin' sha-mokin' hot!!!!

Oh, and lobbying....

Brad dropped in on Prez Obama at the White House to chat him up about continued efforts to rebuild New Orleans post-Katrina.  Then he swung by the Hill to touch base with House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi about the same thing.  Brad's "Make It Right" foundation builds homes for residents of New Orlean's lower 9th Ward who lost their homes in Hurricane Katrina.

Watch this bit of political porno below. (He talks!   Giggle.)

So the Daily Polichicks isn't exacly daily, but here's the latest scoop for Friday.

Campaign '08:

Si se puede! Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who dropped out of the presidential race earlier this year and is the nation's only Latino governor, has endorsed Barack Obama for prez. "I believe [Barack Obama] is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime leader that can bring our nation together and restore America's moral leadership in the world," Gov. Richardson said in a statement. [The New York Times]

Somebody peeked at Barack Obama's passport file. [The Los Angeles Times]

U.S. News:

Willie Green served 25 years for a murder that he didn't commit.  Upon his release, he sobbed, touched a cell phone for the first time, and was fascinated to see a small handheld device open a car door from a distance. "The system that put me in here was the same system that got me out," he said. "It's not perfect, but it's the best system in the world." Now that's patriotism. [The Los Angeles Times]

How do you rip off baristas?! If it weren't for them, we'd all sleep through the work day and American productivity would be way down.  Starbucks has been ordered to pay over $100 million in back tips that the company swiped from innocent baristas and gave to evil management. Scrooge must totally be running that joint. [The Los Angeles Times]

The world would be more perfect if every jam were a free jam.  So Apple just might let us download all the songs our little hearts desire totally for free. [CNN]

Verizon and AT&T Wireless won extra airwaves and licenses eBay style. The two telecommunications giants were the top bidders in a government auction. [AP]

World News:

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has the Dalai Lama's back, and she doesn't appreciate China's attempts to dis him and his Tibetan peeps. "As a freedom-loving people, if we don't speak out about the Chinese oppression, then we have lost our right to speak on human rights," Pelosi said. [CNN]

When Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was on The View this morning, the show's hosts got a little naughty.  Barabara Walters gushed that Nancy's husband, Paul Pelosi, is shmokin' hot.  Then Barbara told Nancy that she thinks Whoopi Goldberg wants to "do" her husband.  Whoopi piped in that she'd like to do Nancy's husband and Nancy too (what?!), but that they better wait until Nancy's out of office to avoid any political controversy.

Yeah, we knew you wouldn't believe us (uh, who would?), so roll the tape...

Everybody's sweating the polichicks!  Politicians are doing all they can to book appearances on daytime talk shows to reach us.

So on that note, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will appear on The View tomorrow to discuss her role as the first woman Speaker of the House, children's health insurance (she's fighting for it!), Iraq, and the news of the day.  The interview will air live, and the Speaker will appear as the first guest on the third segment of the show.  The View airs at 11 a.m. EST on ABC.

Be sure to watch!
