Obama for America - Virginia posted this photo of BD Wong to Facebook.  Wong appears to be standing outside of an Obama campaign office, just 38 days before the election.  The post asks supporters to volunteer for the campaign before time runs out.

Virginia is a battleground state again this election cycle.  Prior to Obama's 2008 victory in Virginia, Virginia had not been won by a Democratic presidential candidate since President Lyndon Johnson won the state in 1964.

We love, love, love Wong as Dr. George Huang on one of our fave TV shows, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit!  Wong has also had roles in the HBO series Oz and the movie Jurassic Park

President Barack Obama meets with some of his smaller constituents during a tour of the Lab School for early childhood education at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas on October 4, 2011.

President Obama dropped in on an independent bookstore in Iowa to to pick up some books for himself and his children.

"Books are our friends," said the President.

Fine! He didn't say anything like that. That's just how we feel about books when we sit home alone on a dateless Saturday night.

Anyway, watch the hoopla above.

On the occasion of the Obamas' first Christmas at The White House, lets have a look at the Kennedys' first Washington Christmas in 1961.

President Carter got in a shouting match with Sudanese security officials who tried to block him from visiting ethnic African refugees in Darfur. "You betta check yo' self before you wreck yo' self," Carter shouted at security officers standing in his way.  Okay, so we're paraphrasing and that's not exactly what he said, but it's close enough.  Here's a word for word account from AOL News:

"You can't go. It's not on the program!" the local national security chief, who only gave his first name as Omar, yelled at Carter, who is in Darfur as part of a delegation of respected international figures known as "The Elders."

"We're going to anyway!" an angry Carter retorted, telling security officers they didn't have the authority to stop him.
