In the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, Katherine Schwarzenegger, 21, talks about family, personal goals and her future.

Katherine opens up about coping with the very public separation of her parents, journalist Maria Shriver and actor/former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. A get away to London, retail therapy and listening to Adele got her through the hard times.

"Oh! I'm obsessed with Adele.  It's the best emotional music," she told the magazine. "These past two months, I'm like, bring it on, Adele."

A senior at the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!), Katherine is more than just a political scion and Hollywood daughter.   She is author of Rock What You've Got, a New York Times bestseller aimed at helping teens with self confidence issues.  She also gives motivational speeches to young women and helps her family organize the Special Olympics.

We've gotten a whole lot of requests from polichicks to post the video of the first lady wannabes' panel discussion at the 2007 Women's Conference..  Five fabulously smart and beautiful wives of presidential candidates participated.  Okay, only four seemed smart, but we're not saying who we think was lacking.

Michelle Obama, Ann Romney, Jeri Thompson, Elizabeth Edwards and Cindy McCain talked about life on the campaign trail, balancing their campaign and family obligations, raising kids, supporting their husbands, and who supports them while they support their men.  California First Lady Maria Shriver moderated.

California's First Lady Maria Shriver moderated a panel of potential presidential first ladies on Tuesday at the 2007 Women's Conference in Long Beach, CA.  Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Edwards, Jeri Thompson, Ann Romney and Cindy McCain participated.  They discussed their roles in developing policy and campaign strategy (basically, they went Stepford on us and denied they had any), as well as how they balance campaigning with managing a family. Judith Giuliani declined to participate, and potential First Laddie Bill Clinton was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict.
