Congratulations to Team USA for a game well played, and congratulations to Japan on its World Cup victory.  We hope the win will help lift Japanese spirits after suffering from that horrible earthquake earlier this year.

President Obama watched the Women's World Cup with his family on Sunday.  

After Japan bested the U.S. team, the president tweeted mad props for Team USA: Couldn't be prouder of #USWNT after a hard-fought game. Congratulations to Japan, Women's World Cup Champions.
