Levi Johnston, the 18 year old father of 17 year old Bristol Palin's expected baby, talked to the Associated Press recently. He denied that he's being forced into a shot gun marriage with Bristol, hinted that their baby-to-be is a boy ("I'm going to take him hunting and fishing"), and shared that he has dropped out of high school to work as an electrician's apprentice. Here's what else he had to say:
On his relationship with Bristol: "We both love each other. We both want to marry each other. And that's what we are going to do."
On Sarah Palin: "I just hope she wins. She's my future mother-in-law. She better win."
On Barack Obama: "He seems like a good guy. I like him."
Meghan McCain and little Piper Palin made a girlpower video together, behind the scenes of the McCain Palin campaign. Meghan posted the video on her blog at mccainblogette.com.

Bristol Palin's "baby daddy," Levi Johnston, wore a "Bristol" tattoo on his ring finger during his debut appearance at the Republican National Convention. Bristol wore what appeared to be an engagement ring. Bristol, 5 months pregnant, is 17 years old and Levi is 18 years old. The soon to be teen parents attended the convention to watch Bristol's mom, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, accept the Republican nomination for vice president.
The press has had a field day with this little tidbit:
Vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, is an unwed, pregnant teenager.
Meghan McCain, daughter of John of course, offered this support for Bristol on her blog:
It's a rough go being the son or daughter of a politician. I have not known Bristol Palin very long, but there is a certain kinship I feel to her as I do other political daughters such as Chelsea Clinton, Jenna and Barbara Bush and Mary Cheney. You can't fully understand it unless you have lived it. So I just wanted to let it be known that I support Bristol and the entire Palin family.
