Russell Simmons: Harold Ford for President

Yogi and philanthropist (and hip hop mogul, author and entrepreneur), Russell Simmons, is all about peace and love, rainbows and butterflies, and making the world a better place.

One way to do this, he feels, is to elect a President Ford. Yeah, we already had one of those, and some would say it didn't work out too well for us. But Yogi Simmons has meditated on the matter, and his inner child tells him that a new President Ford, namely former congressman and now college professor/MSNBC talking head, Harold Ford Jr., is just what America needs.

How do we know this?

Duh?! Twitter.

After participating in a book signing with Ford, Yogi Simmons tweeted: "Fun last night, if president obama brings back our jobs next president could be this man!!!! Harold ford jr." (It's a bit of a run-on sentence, but that's exactly how he typed it.) Simmons also posted a link to a photo of Ford and himself signing books (above).

Ford tweeted back: "@UncleRush Thanks man! Was fun."
