In a cold move, President Bush challenges President Clinton to participate in the ALS ice water challenge.

"Yesterday was Bill's birthday, and my gift to Bill is a bucket of cold water."

In a Facebook post Thursday, Chelsea Clinton welcomed her dad to Twitter.  She might as well have announced that her mom will run for president in 2016.

Let's see...  Bill Clinton is on Twitter.  Chelsea, who is well known for shunning publicity and shooing away the press, has become an active participant on Facebook.  And Chelsea gives TED talks to teens that are then circulated online.

It's called early adoption of a social media strategy folks.  Of course Hillary is running.

In her recent TEDxTeen talk, Chelsea Clinton encouraged young people to step up and make a change.

Word is that Chelsea Clinton's end-of-July wedding will take place at Astor Courts in upstate New York. The 50 acre estate hosts an ornate mansion and stunning views overlooking the Hudson river.

Astor Courts was designed in 1902 for fur trade heir John Jacob Astor IV.   Tragically, Astor went down with the Titanic just eight years later.

Since Astor's death, the home has changed ownership several times and served different purposes.  It was once even a retirement home for senior citizens.  The great-grandson of the home's first architect restored the home to it's original grandeur in 2008, and The New York Times made a photographic slide show of the property.  Check it out here.

Bill Clinton on where he stands.

Bill Clinton's 2004 advice on choosing between presidential candidates? Always choose the candidate for hope. But Barack Obama's the candidate for hope. Hmm... Bill probably will have to flip flop on that one.

On today's Oprah Show, Oprah shared this letter writing tip that she got from President Bill Clinton:

When you write a note to someone, limit it to one page.  That way, if the recipient decides to frame it, the note is easy to frame because it's on just one page.

File this handy tip under "solutions to problems only Oprah and Bill Clinton have."

So Hillary Clinton's latest BFF is Madonna. Women's Wear Daily caught up with Madge and her husband Guy Ritchie at the premiere of his new film Revolver. Let's eavesdrop on the conversation.

WWD: Hillary or Obama?

Madge: Hillary

WWD: Because?

Madge: Because I've gotta support the girls.  And because I'm a big fan of the Clintons.

The madge dash to Hillary's side comes as no surprise.  TMZ.com predicted that Madonna would support Hillary back in August, when she spent over two hours with Bill Clinton at his foundation's headquarters. You can watch TMZ.com's video of Madonna's visit - well, at least video of her walking in and out of the building - here. (Bill Clinton is the only person in the world who can keep the paps away from his office.  Now that's power.)

Longtime friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barbra Streisand,  announced last week that she will endorse Hillary Clinton for president.  The endorsement comes in response to Oprah's announcement that she will campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina for Barack Obama. Streisand hopes that her endorsement will help bring the Clinton campaign back to the way they were - ahead in the Iowa.

Money Babs has made financial contributions to the presidential campaigns of all three democratic frontrunners: Barack Obama, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton has earned the support of the majority of African American female voters, but she wants an even bigger piece of that pie.  She sat down with Isabel Wilkerson of Essence, a magazine that targets African American women, for an interview published in the current issue (November 2007).  Here are a few exerpts of what she had to say about her marriage and family:

On her marriage:
“I know the truth of my life and of my marriage, my relationship and partnership, my deep abiding friendship with my husband. It's been enormously supportive to me through most of my life. Now obviously we've had challenges as everybody in the world knows. “But I never doubted that it was a marriage worth investing in even in the midst of those challenges,” she says, “and I'm really happy that I made that decision. Again, not a decision for everybody. And I think it's so important for women to stand up for the right of women to make a decision that is best for them.”

On the most romantic thing her husband has done for her: She hesitates for longer than is comfortable, then she says, “Oh he's so romantic. He's always bringing me back things from his trips. He brought me a giant wooden giraffe from Africa. Oh, he bought me this watch,” she said, holding out her left wrist to show off a Chanel watch, its bracelet made of white cubes shaped like elegant dentures, if you can picture it. “I had dental surgery, and he said it reminded him of teeth.”

Outside of work, what her proudest moment is:
“Chelsea,” she says without hesitation.
