Bin Laden belly up

In an unexpected, televised statement late Sunday night, President Barack Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed at his direction in Pakistan. [Washington Post]

UPDATE: Crowds gathering outside the White House chanting USA.  Polichicks changing out of fleece feet pajamas to go check out the action.

UPDATE: Polichicks debating going to the White House, as Polichicks live on Capitol Hill and would have to give up coveted parking spot.

UPDATE: Aw, what the hell... Let's go.

UPDATE: Okay, so here's the deal: it's basically Mardi Gras in downtown DC by the White House.   Thousands have come (and are still coming) to The White House.  Once we hit 15th and Constitution, we could see crowds of people headed toward the White House, many carrying American flags and shouting "USA! USA!" or the less family-friendly, "Yeeeeah Muddaf*ckaaaaaa!".  We could also hear those already at the White House chanting "USA, USA!" We woulda taken pix for y'all, but we couldn't park and a cop gave us the stink eye when we tried to take pix while driving.  (What?)  We did get a few pix, but they didn't come out so good since they were taken with a cell phone.  (WE know, we know.  What kind of bloggers use cell phone cameras instead of real cameras? Ones that don't get paid.)  Anyhow, we were totally shocked to see how much traffic there is in DC now; it being midnight and all.  We mean, we were like, "Um... Is this rush hour?"  Anyway, that's all for now.  We have to get to bed.  Need that beauty rest.
