Elena Kagan: Team Vampire or Team Werewolf?

During a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, Senator Amy Klobuchar asked Supreme Court Justice nominee Elena Kagan how she would rule in the "famous cases" of Edward v. Jacob and the Vampire v. Werewolf, characters from the Twilight book/movie series.
Obvs Sen. Klobuchar was joking, but still.

How odd that she would bring that up in a hearing. Funny, but shouldn't she have left it for a party or other event?
Ha! Yes, a party would have been a better place for that joke. She was probably just trying to lighten up a boring hearing though.
