Daily Polichicks - Tuesday

Mornin' chickies!

If you're like us, last night you slipped on your Bettie Boop fleece pajamas from Wal-Mart, fixed yourself a cup of Nestle dark chocolate hot cocoa, and stayed up late to watch Oprah Winfrey interview Sarah Palin. (The show re-broadcasts at 1 am.) 

Ugh, getting up for work tomorrow (well today) is gonna be ugly schmugly.

But to report the drama, we have to watch it first.  So on that note, here's your Daily Polichicks:

*  Gone Vogue. Well, not exactly. Sarah Palin is Newsweek's cover girl. 

*  And Sarah seemed excited about her new book when she appeared on Oprah on Monday.  Not jump up and down on Miss Oprah's couch excited, but excited just the same. Sarah's book, Going Rogue: An American Life, is in stores Tuesday and is already a best seller.

Sarah also talked to Oprah about the past election; the McCain camp's attempts to muzzle her during the campaign; her campaign wardrobe; Katie Couric; and her daughter's ex, Levi Johnston, whom she has "affectionately" porn named "Ricky Hollywood."

*  A report by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services  (a division of the Department of Health and Human Services) has some good news and bad news for Americans.  The good news is that the healthcare plan passed by the House will help the uninsured get health insurance .  The bad news is that it will increase healthcare costs and limit seniors ability to choose a doctor, as cuts to Medicare will mean that some practitioners will no longer see Medicare patients.  A White House healthcare advisor called the report "speculative."

*  Never a fan of Hillary Clinton's style, Tim Gunn warned a Project Runway finale contestant that that the charcoal, pleated pantsuit she designed was too Hillary.  (We tried to find a pic for you, but there's not one of that ugly thing on the web.) So take note: the Hillary is out for fall.

*  Speaking of style, this is why we so need a sugar daddy. (Lookie here. Ooh! And here!) But we digress...
