Today's Polichicks - The effing Monday edition

Last week, we promised you a dose of Polichicks every Tuesday and Thursday.  And then we did not publish on either Tuesday or Thursday.

We got several letters from readers asking, "Hey, what happened to Polichicks?!"

C'mon, ladies! Have we taught you nothing?

This is Washington. Nobody keeps promises here!

Keep up.

On that note, here's today's Polichicks:

* When Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize,  it was a "hells yeah" moment for some, and a "WTF?" one for others. [The Washington Times]

* Washington was the best place ever to scope gay boyfriends this weekend!  Tens of thousands of gay men, lesbians and supporters marched to show President Obama and Congress that they are so over state-by-state victories.  They want national gay rights.  Activists chanted catchy slogans such as "President Obama: Let mama marry mama!" and straight supporters carried "I'm not queer but I'm here!" signs.  Hmm, probably some good songwriters in that bunch. [The Washington Post]

* The U.S. still has no way to track foreign visitors chilling in the U.S. on expired visas.  40% if the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. entered the country on legal visas and then overstayed.  U.S. officials are seriously tripping about this now, because it poses a security risk. For example, Hosan Maher Husein Smadi, a Jourdanian just kicking it in the U.S. on an expired tourist visa, allegedly plotted to blow up a Dallas skyscraper.   [The New York Times

* This is so cool.  Wish we could do the same. [The New York Times

Have a great week!

xoxo,

Polichicks
