Daily Polichicks - The running crazy late edition

Sorry we're late!  Today has been a really crazy day.  We can't tell you about it, because then the crazies in our lives will get mad and cause even more trouble.  You wouldn't believe us if we told you anyway.  So without further delay, here's your Daily Polichicks:

* No one has ever been happier to see McDonald's and Starbucks than Laura Ling and Euna Lee.  The two journalists are back on U.S. soil after nearly five months in captivity in North Korea. What lucky, lucky (and grateful) girls!  [The New York Times]

* Papa Bear Obama is not going to like this one.  A lobbying group targets first daughters Sasha and Malia in an advertising campaign. [Politico]

* American Idol, Paula Abdul tweets a humble goodbye: "I'll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I'll [miss] being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon." [The Washington Post]

* And we say goodbye to a great American beauty, businesswoman and trailblazer, supermodel Naomi Sims. [The New York Times]
