Governor of Maryland and (unsuccessful) U.S. Senate candidate has just been elected Chairman of the Republican National Committe.  He is the first African American to hold this post. (We know what you're thinking: "Isn't the phrase 'black republican' an oxymoron?" Guess not.)

Eric Holder: Holder was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as United States Attorney General.  He is the first African American to hold this post.

Blago: The now former governor of Illinois was booted out of office  with a swift kick in the ass by the Illinois State Senate.  Blago - full name is Rod Blagojevich, but that's just two many letters for girls who type with one finger - has a "potty mouth," according to Joy Behar of The View,  and tried to sell Obama's open senate seat to the highest bidder, according to everybody else.  Who's upset by his ouster? Craig of Craig's List fame and a few higher ups at eBay.
