Dow up 936 points

After taking a brutal beating the past few weeks, stocks rallied and the Dow closed up 936 points yesterday after investors heard that global governments plan to rescue their banks. Wall Street takes a licking but keeps on ticking. (We hope.) [The Wall Street Journal]
