Meghan McCain defends pregnant Bristol Palin
The press has had a field day with this little tidbit:
Vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, is an unwed, pregnant teenager.
Meghan McCain, daughter of John of course, offered this support for Bristol on her blog:
It's a rough go being the son or daughter of a politician. I have not known Bristol Palin very long, but there is a certain kinship I feel to her as I do other political daughters such as Chelsea Clinton, Jenna and Barbara Bush and Mary Cheney. You can't fully understand it unless you have lived it. So I just wanted to let it be known that I support Bristol and the entire Palin family.

I've always thought it would be so hard to be one of those kids - thrust into the spotlight because of your parents, everyone watching your every move. You can't just let loose anymore, huh? That would be a total drag.
So...it can't be good if a president chooses a VP that he hasn't "known for that long" right? And something tells me if Barack had a daughter whom was underage, pregnant, and unmarried that he would get slammed from every corner without so much as an understanding. Or even Barack's VP for that matter.
Since I don't enjoying watching the news to follow with the campaigns, I do enjoy reading your blog! Thanks for keeping me informed!
