Obama gets kudos for speech on race
Pundits and viewers are giving Obama's speech on race the thumbs up. One polichick wrote in: "That was incredible. I can't believe that speech was made in my lifetime." You can read the speech here, compliments of The New York Times.

I believe that Barack Obama gets it about race in America. Hillary Clinton also understands the challenges that confront blacks in our society. What Barack doesn't get is that the pay differential between men and women is once again increasing;that women are not included in the networking that occurs, for example, in a game of pick up basketball on primary voting days; that a group of powerful MEN signed into law bills taking away womens' right to deal with critical reproductive issues; that EVEN TODAY there are careers that women can't get into because of their gender. Given that Barack Obama's wife has put her career on hold to support his, and that his kids are being cared for by their grandmother, I don't think he ever will get it either.
