Sen. Larry Craig Files to Withdraw Guilty Plea
Sen. Larry Craig filed papers Monday to withdraw his guilty plea in hennepin County, Minnesota. He pled guilty to disorderly conduct after he allegedly solicited an undercover police officer for sex in a public restroom. Craig had announced that he would resign from the U.S. Senate on September 30, but now he says that he will resign only if he is unable to withraw his guilty plea.
