Catfight! Barry Manilow v. Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Singer Barry Manilow cancelled his scheduled appearance on The View Tuesday, because he doesn't like Elisabeth Hasselbeck , who is known for her conservative political views.  He told CelebTV.com, "...I will no longer be on The View tomorrow as scheduled.  I made a request that I be interviewed  by Joy, Barbara or Whoopi, but not Elisabeth Hasselbeck.  Unfortunately, the show was not willing to acommodate this simple request, and I bowed out.  It's really too bad, because I have always been a big supporter of The View, but I cannot compromise my beliefs."  He told TMZ.com, "I strongly disagree with her views.  I think she is dangerous and offensive.  I will not be on the same stage as her."

Is he for real?  We like Barry, after all, he does write the songs that make us polichicks sing, but this is so third grade first grade.
